Acts 2:42 reads, "And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayers." In the 21st century, FBC wants to do our best to adopt this same DNA of the first century church. We will do this by devoting ourselves to:
Biblical Teaching
We unapologetically teach the Bible as God's Word. It is without errors and the sufficient truth by which we live and learn. The Bible will be the supreme curriculum in our church because it is God's revelation of Himself to mankind. We will teach the Bible, but we also want to apply its principles to our lives so that we can live out our faith.
Family Fellowship
We strive to be a church that ministers to all age groups, therefore we hope to have a family-like atmosphere in which relationships are built like those in a family. Fellowship also means participating in serving the church and ministering to the community.
Experiential Worship
We believe that believers are to engage in worship. This means that you will be expected to participate in the worship services by either singing, listening, responding, or giving (or all of them!). Worship is far more than singing and is a complete lifestyle where our first priority is always choosing and doing the will of God.
Powerful Prayer
We don't want prayer to simply be lip service. We want to practice powerful prayer. God hears and answers prayers. The Bible says we do not receive because we do not ask. We desire to be a church that prays for our families, our members, our community, our state, our nation, and the world. This type of prayer will connect us with God and with each other.
